TL;DR:I've loved bratz for 15+ years and I can thank them for making me the badass bitch I am today😎 and parents need to stop accusing them of being bad influences. From my first bratz doll I can remember getting for my birthday(slumber party Yasmin) to the last(passion for fashion Destiny), I have loved bratz since as long as I remember. In kindergarten I even had a roller backpack with all the girls on it and I'd sneak a doll with me sometimes. I loved creating ongoing stories with my girls and dressing them all up for fashion shows on the amazing runway I was gifted. I had so many I was probably a bit spoiled but I got them for nearly all special occasions for YEARS! I'd take so many pictures and photoshoots of my dolls posing with random things around my house. I had so many concerts with them singing Hannah Montana and the Scooby Doo soundtrack xD As I got a bit older, my friend and I would toss them up my stairs and judge their poses and then have eliminations. We'd also put them into teams and try and recreate the show Endurance to the best of their plastic abilities. Bratz were such an important part of my childhood and I still get so mad when parents think they're a bad influence to young girls and will inevitably cause them to be sluts someday. It's just not true at all. You can't blame a doll for bad morals... the bratz pack always taught kids to be themselves and explore crazy fashions. I never ever saw them as whores since as an elementary schooler I didn't even know what that was. I simply thought they were pretty and though I don't play with them anymore I can see a definite resemblance to my current look. I absolutely love makeup, creative fashions and unique hairstyles I actually plan to make a career out of it soon! I can't thank bratz enough for all the wonderful memories whether I was playing alone or with my friend. I always made sure to take the best care of my dolls and I still have about 15 of my original dolls to this day. I'm so sad for all the ones I gave away and sold throughout the years :( but that just means I have room to buy even more! I spend sometimes unreasonable amounts of money on bratz on eBay and I'm probably crazy, but they give me such joy just looking at them. Fixing them up to their full potential is one of my favorite pastimes. Even a decade later I find myself fawning over them and taking pictures. I'd also like to just mention how much I fucking hate 'tree change dolls'. They don't deserve to have their faces wiped off and badly repainted to get a "makeunder". Literally if parents have a problem with bratz, then don't buy your kid one. It's as simple as that. Or just buy a different doll with less makeup. Some may say makeup is a bad idea for such young kids but if makeup helps you feel more confident, I don't see any problem with it. And yes some of the bratz fashion is a bit scandalous, but it's not like a child would be wearing that or have clothes like that in their size anyway 😂 parents are sometimes way too overprotective, which I understand but don't take it out on my girls! I can't wait for the relaunch later this year(though I'm weary of the online only aspect) they need redemption after the bland relaunch in 2011 and the alien treatment they got in 2015. Bring back the original kooky fashions and hairstyles and maybe give them some fierce brows as well 💖💋Happy Birthday to my inanimate friends who still inspire me to this day 😘 P.s. (even though this isn't a letter) it's funny that I never watched any of the bratz movies as a kid or ever played the iconic games... I just had the dolls and that was enough for me!
