Low Hums-Treefort 10

Low Hums is a three piece band who played Treefort 10 at the Olympic in Boise. The small venue allowed for an intimate experience with the crowd. The Low Hums provided something I missed in many of my band observations: melody. Low Hums’ lead guitarist played and sang without the drums drowning him out. The small crowd swayed and enjoyed themselves as the band played wall-to-wall original tunes for about an hour. 

Pam from Boise said, “I just like their cool electric vibe.” as she swayed and hopped to the rhythm of the song. 

Abe, from L.A. said as he bounced to the beat, “I’ve seen them before at Nurolux and I was excited to see them again. They’re from Seattle so I don’t have many opportunities, but they jam.” 

Overall, the Low Hums were clearly a professional band who provided a crowd-pleasing sound and a fun set of original songs and clever lyrics.

Breaking down and helping clean up today after an absolutely epic Treefort. Probably will post a couple more flashback pics (because sometimes you’re living in the moment for many moments straight!) but it feels so special to get to be here and experience music & magic. Goddamn I can’t remember the last time I felt so proud to be from Denver!@n3ptunemusic just burned down Boise’s funky taco, sang Amy Winehouse, and made use of every single staircase & walkway in the place. Mixing it up with this one and adding a little red to honor @carolinerosemuzak who “hasn’t changed at all since I was six years old” and her main stage, sunset set last night! • It had been years & states between seeing Caroline and I was so sad to miss her Bluebird show in Denver on Wednesday that I’d held onto physical tickets for two plus years for. All of that melted away immediately. “The last time we played Treefort we did molly in the bathroom and someone broke in on us and I was on the toilet at the time and kids in the audience, if you don’t know what that means, Molly is my… friend. Anyway, we’re Radiohead and we’re so excited to be headlining Treefort!” • Caroline is 100% herself & hilarious (like when she chugged a coors and continued absentmindedly soundchecking while a marriage proposal was happening feet away from her on the main stage) and it is special to witness. Fucking phenomenal, fun songs, and a live show worth waiting years & states between to see!
