The late flowering, deciduous shrub, Hibiscus syriacus 'Oiseau Bleu' (hardy hibiscus, rose of Sharon, tree hollyhock) provides an exotic feel to the end of summer. The flowers unfurl like opening umbrellas. This plant needs a sunny location to flower well and the new foliage emerges in late spring.
