aka High Fructose Cough Syrup

This is a fictional band in modern day Treias consisting of five members: Massam, Filfira, Hadaahk, Santiago, and Desmond. They reside in the mega city of Talain and are world famous musicians with an eclectic sound depending on who is writing, singing, and playing, though the general range would be around Muse, Avenged Sevenfold, Bloodywood, and SoaD with an occasional bit of EDM elements here and there.

The five members of HFCS from right to left:

Massam Ra'ahiid - he/him

6'4" Otii (dark elf/drow) trans man, roughly 240 years old (young by Otii standards) bass player and second singer. His sound is based on Muse. He's fluent in over 30 languages and can play 112 instruments at a master level due to a combination of his demanding upbringing and his own love of music and language. He can't really cook, but he isn't horribly bad at basic things (a box mac n cheese or pancakes for example). Despite being in a wildly popular band, he's fairly reserved otherwise and prefers to be left to his introvert activities.

Filfira Kenghym - she/her

4'10" Otii Sylph (large winged fae) woman, about 700 years old at last count. Plays piano, occasionally synth or keytar, and doesn't speak vocally. She uses Universal Common Sign (UCSL) as well as Otii'inash Sign and text to voice speech assistance devices. It's unknown why she is mute since she's never offered a reason, though she does have a voice. Of the five, she is the most magically adept, and will occasionally be in charge of show effects. While she is much older than the rest of the band, she lived in nature among other fae for most of her life and has only been roaming around with the rest of the world for maybe a hundred years at most.

Hadaahk Silva - he/him

5'4" Forest Elf man, seemingly only about 60-70 in appearance (as far as elves go), but is actually closer to 200. He's the lead singer and his sound is like Avenged Sevenfold. He also plays guitar and will sometimes sub in on bass if needed. Unknown to most people (but well known to the band), Hadaahk is a werewolf and leads a local pack of roughly 300-400 other wolves that live in and around the city. It's less about stigma and more about safety and privacy as werewolves are no discriminated against in the city of Talain. He can get a little rowdy when he wants to party, but is still largely responsible as a leader. Despite his small stature, his wolfish nature can really intimidate people and make him seem much larger in presence than in physicality alone.

Santiago Valdez - he/him

6'0" Human in his early 40's. He plays guitar, bass guitar, occasionally drums, and his sound and overally vibe are roughly bases on Serj Tankian and SoaD. Probably the second most rowdy member of the group, he often instigates the others to do the dumb thing while he records on his phone. The only one who can outdo him in the art of shenaniganery is Desmond. Aside from rabble rousing, Santiago enjoys cooking way more than anyone else in the band. He did briefly go to college for a bachelor's degree in culinary arts right out of high school, and while he never went into the food industry due to finding his calling in music, he can and does still make pro level meals when he's feeling the mood.

Desmond Ahuja - he/him (reworked)

6'2" Human man and weretiger. Plays drums, occasionally bass guitar, and rap/screams. His sound is akin to Bloodywood. He's a walking hurricane of a person, constantly on some kind of substance and in someone's pants. The name of the game is hedonism and he's an olympic level pro. He'll go on short vacations to tiger out somewhere in the forest whenever he needs or wants, and if they're on tour then usually it's Hadaahk that finds a suitable outlet for Desmond's shenanigans (he kinda has to be the babysitter at times, which is really not Hadahk's idea of a good time). He loves a mosh pit, he loves a (fantasy south Asian) buffet, and he loves to pester everyone in the band to the point of genuinely pissing them off, but always makes up for it with someone's favorite food. Even with his less desirable qualities he's a solid bandmate and friend overall.

The hand symbol and logo of the band are meant to look similar to a fructose molecule and fans often throw the symbol up at their concerts.

Note: Desmond was initially supposed to be my friend Kat's version, but we haven't seen each other in a long time so I wanted to change him to not be exactly Kat's character. He got a little bit of a change in personality, in what type of werebeast he is, much more visibly hairy, and changed his ethnicity so that only Hadaahk is the Token White lmao

I just don't want to step on friends toes when it comes to OCs so even though I love the name, he's just like...a desi twin to the original white version lol

World Maps

The world of Treias, a highly magical world filled with highly magical creatures. It is home to all manner of flora and fauna both mundane and fantastic, here are just a few important world maps created to get a better feel for the actual planet itself.

Treias has two moons, technically, with one being far smaller and further away, estimated to breach orbit after roughly 16,000 years (relatively short time on a galactic scale). It has very little effect on tides, if any, and zooms across the sky at a much faster rate than its larger companion. The larger moon is to scale with Earth's moon, though a bit closer than ours. It behaves exactly the same, too, being rotation locked to that only one side is ever facing the planet.

While most of Treias is located on the planet's surface and within its oceans, there is a small section of the planet that floats high above the ground and, as far as anyone knows, always has. The Celestial Sky Islands mostly stay in place, with a small amount of movement due to some kind of combination of weather, gravitational pull, magnetic field influence, and just straight up magic. The archipelago known as Falter sits just barely above the ocean and seems to be occasionally pushed around by stormy weather, making it the most mobile of the sky islands.

The magic of the world seems to have two poles, much like thethe planet's magnetic field, but in a different location. The Core Pole is thought to be the source of all magic of the world, and is also from where the enigmatic Otii people originate. The highest concentration of magic and magical ability is centralized here. On the opposite end, the Null Pole is situated on largely Dwarven land, at which the very center is completely devoid of magic. No one is sure why this is. Many think that magic skulls just flow naturally everywhere, but the Dwarven nations in the Null Pole have adapted very well to the lack of magic and magical ability.

Unnamed lands in gray are just that, I haven't come up with anything for them yet. I've had these maps for many years now, and I have no idea how to actually judge the scale of land masses accurately, so I'll leave that up to interpretation.
