In the spirit of the season McCoy made a gingerbread Scotty
Just a small note to say, I am still alive and kicking, it has just been a chaotic and engrossing year. I relocated, which has been wonderful. My grandmother declined in health and unfortunately passed away, which was not so wonderful. Various other strange and distracting events and happenings have also been in the mix; some real wild cards and it leaves me thinking all in all 'what a year'. A whirlwind. Some big changes. An extremely strange time. Not to mention the socio political situations, about which I have many thoughts and am engaged with daily. I've unfortunately been off the social media radar somewhat and am trying to catch up (my sincere apologies). Don't be afraid to get back in touch or rekindle a conversation. As promised, I always read letters and messages that I receive.
For those following the art and fanworks / zine archive project, some good news: a Cambridge research institute donated a load of amazing library shelving, and along with display cabinets purchased via another Trekkie, it means a lot of rescued material and collections in storage will have the very best of homes. All this is slowly taking shape.
This is a gift given today by a friend and fellow fan who helped some of the better things happen this year - yes, it is a Trekmas cake. So I wish you all a good one, and for each and every one of you to find the strength and resilience that you probably don't always think you have, but I promise you do, to boldly go into 2026.
Never give up...never surrender
