3rd Test - England vs India - Edgbaston
The third test between England and India starts in a little less than 4 hours at Edgbaston despite the riots in various parts of England.
For England, the mostly likely chance will be Ravi Bopara in for an injured Jonathan Trott.
For India, Sehwag and Gambhir are back opening for India in place of Abhinav Mukund and Yuvraj Singh and Amit Mishra is in for an injured Harbhajan Singh.
The return of Sehwag will give India some hope of winning this test match while England will be looking to win and go top of the ICC test team rankings.
Boxing Day Misery
The most famous of all Australian Test matches each year is the Boxing Day Test, played at the MCG in Melbourne. However, this 2010 Boxing Day Test would be remembered by Australia for all the wrong reasons after being dismissed for the lowest total in an MCG test. Australia were made to look foolish by England’s opening bowlers, with Anderson (4/44) and Chris Tremlett (4/26) eventually dismissing the Aussies for 98 on the first day. To make matters worse, England then came out to bat, scoring a team total of 513, with Trott top scoring with 168. The match didn’t get any better for Australia, dismissed in the second innings for 258 giving England another massive win by an innings and 157 runs. England leads 2-1 heading into the final test, subsequently retaining the ashes in the process. Man of the Match = Jonathan Trott (168)
