Wedding Crasher
Wedding crasher After Trollhunters Rice of The Titans.
But the ending to the whole story in my opinion, which should have been in the movie.
This is a text written quite quickly and traslate by using Google traslate, so I apologize for any carelessness in the text and possible spelling mistakes, as well as errors in thought, etc., as well as if this seems a bit hastily put together. But I hope you like this. You can use this text in your own stories if you want. Of course, it would be nice if you linked and said whose text you quoted. :)
Short story, Wedding chrasher
The battles now seemed like very distant things, and none of them wanted to think about it in particular. There would be time for that later, now it was time to celebrate, because everyone had earned it, because in the midst of all that gloom, a little joy and light were needed now and what would lift the mood better than a wedding.
Jim looked at the party venue with satisfaction, it was perfect and suitable for everyone, there was no need to worry about the sunlight causing problems for the trolls and the changelings.
"Well, let's go," Jim said and glanced at his mother, who looked stunning in her wedding dress that was simple, partly fitted, but not at all too tight. The skirt part fell down beautifully, a bit like a mermaid tail, and it was made of a light fabric, so it also looked beautifully airy, and not too bulky. The dress was not completely white, but a very, very light green, which really emphasized the color of Barbara's skin and hair and eyes. In other words, it was absolutely perfect. The sleeves were long, reaching to the arms and decorated with lace and pearls, but not too tight at all, but just right, and the cuff was v-shaped on the back of the palm.
Barbara nodded, took a deep breath, trying to control her nervousness, and began to walk forward as the music played. They pushed the doors open and walked down the aisle, hearing the guests gasp in delight. Jim glanced first at his mother and then at the altar, where Walter was waiting, looking at the same time very nervous, but also confused and stunned, as if he had never seen Barbara before.
Jim escorted his mother to the altar and took his own place to stand and watch the ceremony. Claire and Nomura stood in their own places and looked absolutely stunning. Claire was wearing a light purble, airy bridesmaid dress and Nomura was wearing a pantsuit. Of course. Nomura didn't care so much about dresses and other frills.
Jim smiled happily when his mother and Walter finally kissed after a long explanation. It had been almost completely silent, except for a few sobs of joy, but at this point the entire hall seemed to explode with cheers and congratulations, as the newlyweds looked at them with wide smiles for a moment and then walked down the aisle together and out.
After this, the guests were followed in orderly fashion out and into the ballroom where the rest of the festivities began. Now the guests were really starting to relax and let themselves be carried away by the festivities.
When the time for the traditional dances came and Walter and Barbara were dancing first, the door to the banquet hall opened and an unexpected guest entered. Walter and Barbara stood still and stared at the guests, and the rest of the party went silent as well. “What are you doing here?” Barbara broke the silence, glaring at the guest with her blue eyes burning with cold anger.
“Uh, that…”, the man began, but fell silent, feeling everyone’s eyes on him, “I just wanted to… um… tell you that I’m back.”
“A little too late,” Barbara said coldly and pressed herself a little exaggeratedly closer to Walter, who had just been silently observing the situation. He knew Barbara well enough already to know not to interfere in matters unless Barbara specifically asked him to.
“But honey..” Man started.
“Shut up,” Barbara snapped, “I have a new life now, and you’re not part of it anymore, you can either stay and party or disappear, it doesn’t matter to me,” she continued.
The man looked at everyone silently for a moment, was about to say something, but decided it was best to remain silent. What else could he do.
So the party continued as if nothing had happened, although the atmosphere was perhaps a bit more tense. The evening began to turn into night and later Walter moved aside to catch his breath. He stopped at the beautifully decorated window and stared out at the night landscape when someone walked up to him.
He turned and saw the man, who now looked a little like he was about to start a fight. “Can I help you somehow?”, Walter was content to ask, because he decided that at least he wouldn’t be the one to start a fight. He really didn’t want to ruin Barbara’s day.
“I’d like to know what Barbara really sees in you,” the man snorted and eyed Walter critically, “you’re not even human.”
Walter didn’t answer, he was already used to this kind of thing in his long life, so this man was definitely not the first and would hardly be the last pain in the butt he would come across. He could see how annoyed the man was when he couldn’t get what he wanted, which was to irritate Walter into doing something stupid.
Walter straightened up, looked at the man with disdain and began to calmly walk away, stopped for a moment and turned to look at the man again, "You can try to annoy me forever, but it won't work, instead I would not annoy Barbara, she's the one you don't want to be the target of when she's furious," he smiled, turned and continued on his way.
“You bastard,” the man roared, but that was it, as the blond whirlwind passed Walter and hit him with all its force.
“Shame on you for letting that filth out of your mouth!”, Barbara shouted and threw the wine glass in her hand at her ex-husband, but without hitting him, “you have no say in who I decide to be with. You yourself disappeared without saying anything and I don’t want you back!”
“But...”
“Shut up! You don’t even know what I’ve been through, and you weren’t there, but Walter was and I’m eternally grateful to him for that. You can disappear instead and go back to that hole you’ve been in all these years, you don’t belong in my life anymore in any way!”
Finally, Walter intervened and gently but firmly steered Barbara away, while her ex-husband stood there in horror, staring, not even knowing what was wrong with him.
Walter was mildly amused by the whole incident, but he thought it wiser to remain silent and just focus on calming Barbara down.
“That... that,” Barbara said stifled, her lip quivering and she looked as if she was about to burst into tears.
Walter said nothing, but pulled Barbara close to him, wrapping his arms gently around her, “well, he didn’t know what he was missing, so it’s better if we don’t think about him anymore,” he remarked soothingly and looked gently at Barbara, whose cheeks were still flushed red from her recent outburst.
Walter leaned down slightly, gently took Barbara’s chin between his fingers and kissed her long and gently. The woman seemed to calm down considerably and returned the kiss with passion.
The rest of the evening passed without incident, as if this man had taken the hint and disappeared from the scene, unlikely to ever return. Especially since Barbara had made her opinion very clear to him.
