Mr Myers back again for his weekly review 👌 Today we go underground (no pun intended) to an absolute cult classic and fantastic horror comedy "Tremors" starring Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward. Originally made to be a parody towards the 50s atomic/creature fest, Tremors became a huge success and spawned its own franchise that has last the past 30 years. However the original is the only one to be given a theatrical release. The premise shows Valentine and Earl, two handymen staying in Perfection, Nevada, decide to leave the town, but stumble upon the dead body of a friend. soon after they find that strange underground creatures are killing people, teaming with geologist Rhonda and the rest of the town, they must find a way to get out of the valley, and defeat these monsters. Tremors is an absolute blast of a movie, with intelligence and with fun comedic dialogue of both Bacon and Ward followed by great creature effects. The film is a complete joy from start to finish, with the occasional scares and serious moments, the film has a good balance between by comedy and thrills. With a franchise that has delivered round 7 movies, latest one only came out few months back Tremors is still going strong in its popularity and fan culture, however with a personal view the original 3 movie trilogy are the superiors towards the series. The first time ever seeing Tremors that stars Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward. I've seen the sequels on tv but never the first one but finally get to see the whole thing now. This creature feature movie is entertaining, fun and action pack with these monster worms crawling from the ground and eating you alive. There were a few errors between the advertising and the movie itself but neither than that it's a horror cult in my book. It's out on Netflix including the sequels too, check them out.
