Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell is yet another fun bit of B-movie creature feature fare. If you are a fan of the cult series, then it’s a must see. Cold Day in Hell doesn’t reinvent the series and the plot is just as simple as the previous installments. Graboids trap a group of people, group must figure out a way to outsmart graboids, people get gobbled up, graboids get blown up, orange slimy graboid blood/innards end up on everyone and Michael Gross is in it. So, Jamie Kennedy is also back Travis, son of Burt Gummer (Gross). Kennedy, despite my reservations when he joined the series in the last one, turns out his addition has worked perfectly and I’m glad he’s embracing the series. Gross’s Gummer is really extra cranky in this one, but there’s a cool reason. So as I said the graboids are back and have Burt and his son Travis stuck in a remote research station with a bunch of young scientists, including Val’s daughter. What I enjoy most about the series is the true B-movie nature of each film. Since the invention of CGI many of these types of films take the easy way out and CGI everything from the creature to helicopters to the damn blood and guts... The Tremors series uses CGI sure, but it’s intermixed with practical effects which, I think, make a true B-movie creature feature shine. #tremors #tremorsacolddayinhell #tremors6 #jamiekennedy #michaelgross #creaturefeature #bmovie #bmovies #cultmovie #horror #horrormovies #horrormovie #horrorfan #moviereview #moviereviews #movie #movieblog #filmblog #frontrowflix
