How long have you been on tret/other retinoids? Your skin looks so good!
Ah thank you!! I should say, though, that the majority of my selfies are ones I take with my snapchat camera, because I hate the way I look when the image isn't reveresed lol. The other upshot of that, though, is that the image is lower in quality and tends to blur out more imperfections than the usual camera would.
All of that being said, I genuinely am pretty happy with how my skin has been for the past several months or so! I started on tret about a year ago, like late February 2021. I definitely had a bit of purging for a while, although it wasn't as bad as it probably would've been otherwise since I had already been on non-rx retinoids for about 2 years prior.
I think I started my first ever retinoid in early 2019? Depending on your skin type you'll probably have some purging and some flaking, which sucks, but god is it worth it in the long run. Now I occasionally have some dry patches but that's about it, and when I do I just add an extra day of "no actives" into my skincare schedule.
Also, I had a lotttt of great results using super cheap and affordable store bought retinoids before leveling up to tret! I went back and forth between the granactive retinoid emulsion from the Ordinary and the retinol from the Inkey List, depending on what was in stock. It might be worth giving those a try if you have access to them in your country! :)
