Mesoestetic Hydratonic Mist, 125ml £34 (££)
Post-biotic active, lactobacillus ferment, to strengthen your skin barrier function. Good if your on Tret.
Darphin Purifying Balm (££) about £50 per 15ml
If your skin is dull, needs a little glow, is prone to impurities, oily, sensitive, dry – whatever: this product works. Good for pretty much everything - balms usually last a little longer cause of there spread so i thought if this lasts 2 months i could justify it. Its for night use so won't synergise if your on tret. Good after a night out and you don't want anyone to know in the morning
Zelens Power D (£££) £95 for 30ml
This the new big boy - I don't know of another product at this price point getting airtime like this one. I haven't used it, its a high cholesterol product. Calms and strengthens all skins, from acneic to rosacea and psoriasis.
Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator
Highly Recommended (£££) £35 per 100ml 75 for 250ml.. which i think is pretty expensive for something that's gona get as much use as a spray. Comes highly recommended for dry skin.
MOTHER DIRT AO+ RESTORATIVE MIST (Probiotic)
(£££) I personally thought this was expensive at £50 a bottle ....but i've heard nothing but good things about it and it's sold out pretty much everywhere. Might be worth it depending on how long the bottle lasts - currently hard to find in the UK
Kate Somervillie Peptide K8: Dry skin recommendation (£££)
Very expensive not sure if its worth it for a young baby skin but may be a good investment if you do tret.
I swear by this sunscreen, I am very brown and this doesn’t leave any white-cast on my skin – you honestly forget you’re wearing it. They even make a spray on version that you can apply over your makeup whenever you need to.
“Cosmetic surgery stories are inherently future-oriented, are by their very nature about overcoming obstacles through making a change. In the case of the aging and /or defective body, an operation on the horizon becomes a hope toward which one moves with optimism. It is forward moving, expectation generating. For someone with a defect, plastic surgery can become an ongoing story of preoperative expectations followed by postoperative depression. A prominent surgeon talked to me about his early experience with cleft palate patients: “There was a mythology that was passed from patient to patient, and my group knew each other, because they would come in the summertime when school was out to have revisional surgery. There was a mythology that had developed that, when you were sixteen or seventeen and fully sized, then there would be the operation that would make everything look normal. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to sit with weeping teenagers and tell them that there isn’t anything further that can be done — which is tough.” How did such a mythology arise if not through the very cultural association of plastic surgery as the story of “happily ever after”? Whatever the problem — deformity, ugliness, old age — you will be made anew. The end will be better than the beginning.”
