Scene #12, Take #365, Action! (AU-gust 2026 prompt #4: Hero)

Fandom: Grand Theft Auto V Rating: Teen and up (because of language) Characters: Michael de Santa, Amanda de Santa, Trevor Philips Relationship: Michael & Amanda & Trevor Tags: Alternate Universe - Superheroes/Superpowers; Actors; On Set; Trevor Has Superpowers; Impotent Rage Movie Word count: 650 Summary: Michael persuades Richards to shoot a film about Impotent Rage, Los Santos's best-loved superhero. And of course, he decides to cast himself, Amanda and Trevor as the main roles. What he didn't know was that Trevor was really bad at remembering his lines. Yet, Trevor has a little trick up his sleeve that helps him get them right in the end.

Except: Paizuri Pamela gasped, finger pointing to the sky. The plane she pointed to hiccuped and left a skidmark-brown streak over the sky as it scooted closer.

“Oh no, Viagra Willie, look!”

The man in blue spandex turned and gasped too, perspiration rolling down his temples.

“Is it a bird?”

“Is it a plane?”

Viagra Willie rolled his eyes and groaned. “No, you stupid bitch, I forgot my glasses. Is it a bird, or what? I can’t see it!”

The plane touched down on the road in front of them, barely making it to a halt. The flames engulfed the engines. Willie squinted with a growl. Pamela gasped again, hands on her cheeks.

“Willie!” The voice booming over the crunch of fire made them both take a tentative step back. “So we meet again!”

Willie ground his teeth. “Impotent Rage.”

The tall man in blue costume emerged from the smoke, the pink R on his breasts screaming bright pink. “So we meet again!”

“Stop!”

Trevor groaned, throwing hands in the air. “WHAT?”

The director’s face could double for a Chinese flag. “YOU STUPID SHIT YOU SAID THE SAME LINE TWICE!!! FIFTEEN MINUTES BREAK FOR MISTER SUPERSTAR TO REVISE THE SCENE!!!”

Trevor’s black toupee flew off with the force of the sound from the megaphone. He blinked, inhaled and raised his index finger, but before he could object, a blue spandex mask splat over his face with brutal force.

“I knew I shouldn’t have cast you!” Michael stomped past where Trevor howled in pain and shut the door of his trailer behind him. An echo of spandex slapping against skin and a pained howl came from Michael’s trailer before it became silent again.

“Good job, Trevor. Now we have to do that take again.” Amanda lit up a cigarette under the massive ‘do not smoke’ sign while make-up assistants swarmed around her with all sorts of hair sprays. “Good fucking job.”

Trevor growled, picking himself up off the floor. He was dying to tell Amanda to shove it, but decided to pat some dust off his costume and close his eyes instead. He remembered that once, when he was a boy, he managed to do it. Just for five minutes, but it was enough to bring his pet bunny back to life. Maybe he could do it again? He inhaled deeply and shook the shock out of his limbs.

Somewhere behind his back, a trailer door crashed open. “Trevor, what the HELL are you doing?!”

Trevor kept his eyes closed, drops of sweat rolling down his furrowed brows. And then, it happened.

The door swung back, and the inhabitant of the trailer stomped backwards. The droplets of hairspray mist were sucked back into their bottles. The ash from Amanda’s cigarette levitated and stuck back to the paper, turning white and brown as it gradually grew back. Then, the growl from the trailer rewound, and Michael stomped back onto the scene, and his mask flew back onto his face. Similarly, the toupee found its way back to Trevor’s scalp and latched on it. Trevor groaned as his own body reacted and walked backwards, just to swing back into the cockpit of the burning crop duster.

At that moment, he opened his eyes. Time stopped, and with his next exhale, it kicked in again. Trevor grinned.

“Willie!” he hollered as he jumped off again, his feet crunching towards his mortal enemy. “So we meet again!”

“Impotent Rage!” Michael spat through gritted teeth.

Trevor threw his arms out, giving Michael his brightest, most jovial tone. “So you thought your plan would go unnoticed?”

Michael, dropping out of character as Willie for a moment, gave him a lopsided grin.

Behind their backs, the cameras kept on whirring till a satisfied stop prompted them to swarm the catering table together, tired but in good spirits.
