Tess: âI never ask you for anything, not to feel the way I felt. Not to...â
(Your fave): âNo...â
Tess: âShut the fuck up, because I don't have time. This is your chance. You get her there. You keep her alive, and you set everything right. All the shit we did. Please say yes, (your faveâs name). Please.â

As the title says, what if your fave was suddenly put in Joel Millerâs place? How different would âThe Last of Usâ be if they were the hero? Could they make it as far as Joel? Would they have the same relationship to Ellie? Would they make the same choices that Joel did?
Thatâs up to the Tumblr masses to decide!
The answer to how your fave will fare as Joel Miller will fall onto the following options:
1) Gets emotionally attached / successfully escorts Ellie to the hospital: Your fave is basically Joel. They end up getting too emotionally attached to Ellie, either as a parental figure, close friend, love interest, etc. Attached enough that theyâre willing to massacre the Fireflies and destroy their attempt to engineer a vaccine, just to save Ellie. Youâre also saying theyâre CAPABLE of making the trip.
2) Gets emotionally attached / dies on the way to the hospital: Same as above, but theyâre NOT CAPABLE of making the trip. I meanâŠitâs a zombie-fungi apocalypse, only the toughest of the tough can make it. So if your fave doesnât have a chance at surviving the apocalypse, this might be your answer.
3) Doesnât get emotionally attached / successfully escorts Ellie to the hospital: So your fave is tough enough to trek through the zombie-fungi apocalypse. But do they have a heart? This option is if you think theyâre capable of completing the mission, but wouldnât give a crap about Ellie. Either they maintain their distance, they wouldnât care about her, theyâd just view her as cargo, or theyâd outright hate her.
4) Doesnât get emotionally attached / dies on the way to the hospital: Pretty self-explanatory. Not only would they not care about Ellie, theyâd die before theyâd even get to the Firefly hospital.
5) Regardless of attachment, they survive the trip but Ellie dies under their care: Well, even if they are physically capable of making the trip, theyâre not much of a Joel if they canât even protect Ellie. Since protecting Ellie is the mission, if they canât even accomplish that, thereâs no point in even asking if theyâll become emotionally compromised during the journey like Joel did.

How to submit:
First off, I have ONE rule. NO REAL PEOPLE.
That being said, fictionalized versions of real people are fine (for example: pro-wrestlers as their gimmicks, parodies, people playing themselves in a movie, etc).
Second, donât submit to my ask box! Instead, use the following link:
"That's alright...I believe him."
