so i was watching my favourite episodes from tbbt again. and even though sheldon and amy are nothing like trey and jade i couldn’t help but compare them
more specifically certain scenes and what not
in the big bang theory, sheldon is incredibly shameless. in rare times does he ever think he’s wrong, and he just genuinely very confident in himself. not much can over turn him.
and that is just very jade leech core 😭 jade is so needlessly confident in himself and just so shameless 😭
in the show, sheldon lee cooper is a hard person to get along with. which ISNT very jade like considering jade leech is … charismatic. BUT he always does make things harder for others (if he finds it funny) at times because he’s a sadist. so i think with him loving unpredictably is comparable to sheldon being a hard person to get along with.
and now that brings me to the trey part in this treyjade/shamy comparison.
Amy is literally perfect for Sheldon, much like how trey is for Jade. They’re very similar at their core to each other but one tends to be more moralistic/people pleasing than the other.
Trey doesn’t do the things he does for love. And Jade’s “love” is ever changing, like the seasons. That’s just a small part of what makes them similar.
But unlike Shamy, treyjade is something that you wouldn’t compare right off the bat. You’d have to think into it meanwhile when Amy came on screen, right away you can tell she was made to be comparable to sheldon. But as you watch and see more of her, you see that she is different from him and all that. (the opposite for treyjade).
AND AGAIN— BECAUSE I KEEP GETTING SIDE TRACKED!!
i was watching an episode of tbbt and a moment happens between sheldon and amy. With amy taking his hand in hers and when asked why (mind you— one of their first conversations was her saying something against physical contact) she said, “an experiment.”
AN EXPERIMENT 😭😭😭😭 THATS SO TREYJADE CORE 😭😭
like Jade and Trey starting their “relationship” for convenience (i’m going with the classic situation-ship scenario 🫣) and them setting unspoken boundries with each other.
“don’t fall in love with me” kinda scenario (i don’t remember where i fist heard that but it’s so them 😭🙂↕️)
So maybe one day after trey and jade were being freaky in the botanical garden (“freaky” and it’s just them flirting or some peppered kisses every now and again lol). maybe something was said that was kinda personal— but not actually. For you’d have to read between the lines of what they were actually saying (think of kodok’s fic about that was centered around Jade asking a question and Trey answering the real question underneath. sorry i don’t remember the title of the fic LMAO iykyk). But instead no one speak up on the hidden meaning and later when rhey are returning to their respective dorms…
Jade takes trey’s hand in his own. And basically those same word play,
“hm.?. What are you doing?” ♣️
“an experiment.” 🐬
“… and that involves….?” (he doesn’t need to refer to their hand’s intertwined. its implied when his fingers subconsciously twitch in Jade’s.)
“humour me, why don’t you Trey-san.” 🐬

AND THEY WALK BACK TO THE MIRRORS WITH THEIR HANDS INTERTWINED 😭😭😭🫣 It’s one of the first real moments of a shift in their relationship. Even though it’s SO MINOR and so insignificant in the grand scheme of things … it was genuine affection without being physical to one another afterwards 🙂↕️

OH OH OH and another thing i remebered i wanted to bring up with the shamy comparison was the fact that Amy can handle Sheldon! they go through problems but at the end of the day they worked through it because sheldon grew genunime respect and love for her. To the point he believed someone could be better than him, because he thought that amy deserved better

Trey being one of the few characters that could
actually handle Jade. Trey being someone who MATCHES HIS FREAK (IF NOT SURPASSES IT AT TIMES 🫣). Someone that Jade doesn’t need to … censor himself for…? is that the right word?
i don’t know — it plays into the part where i think Treyjade would lowkey be holding themselves back in other relationships (ships). (A yap i had MONTHS ago 🙂↕️ i still need to finish my thought process on that thing…. LMAO).

And for him to believe someone like… Cater! for example, is better than him. That Cater is someone more deserving of Trey than he is..? That he, Jade fucking Leech, isn’t that deserving of his beloved trey clover…?
