What is Triangulation?
There are typically 6 movements in a life cycle of a container. Whilst this process works, it is neither efficient or cost effective.
Truck drives to the terminal to pick up an import container.
Container is moved from the dock to unloading facility.
Container then moves from the unloading facility to an empty container storage facility.
Truck returns to pick up from the empty container.
The empty container is taken to an export load facility.
Container is moved from export the load facility to the terminal as an export loaded container.
The supply chain industry (and the environment) could benefit from a more efficient process through Triangulation with the help of 1-Stop's Container Control.
With Triangulation, the number of movements in the container's life cycle is reduced to 4.
