the seeker.
moths are attracted to light, which makes them symbols of seeking knowledge and truth. in mythology, they represent transformation, rebirth, and the soul.
after a year of heavy loss in my family during 2025, i am holding onto that symbolism for 2026. moving toward the light, evolving, but carrying the past with me.
(the science bit): this is a tiger moth (trichomia sp.), native to south america. i took an entomology class in university and it permanently altered my brain chemistry to find insects beautiful.
