Do You Believe In Magic?
Vriska was way more interested in science than magic. Magic seemed great in stories and theory, but it didn’t exist and everyone knew it. Those who didn’t, well, they were clearly delusional.
Which is why Vriska never understood why magicians still existed. Sure, you could fool a kid with magic tricks, but adults? It was a classic con artist scam to get money from parents who wanted their kids to be happy or to shut up. Perhaps that was a cynical view on people who were just trying to make money, but Vriska felt that she effectively saw through their acts.
So, when she saw a fellow student hurrying across the campus lawn with a top hat in his hands, she suspected the same thing of him. She followed him until she caught up, tapping him on the shoulder with her intact hand. “What are you doing with that hat? You’re not going to fucking scam some unsuspecting kid’s money from them, are you?”She asked, her hand resting on her hip as she raised an eyebrow at the boy.
