aw MAN i watched the first few episodes of trickster on the cw’s website and i thought it looked cool & unique supernatural show focused about indigenous characters only to look it up and discover that (a) apparently the showrunner lied about having indigenous heritage and (b) the network had announced a season 2 and then rolled back on it due to the controversy so that’s really too bad

#like i'm white my opinion doesn't matter a lot and idk what happened behind the scenes #but it's really too bad they canceled instead of getting a new showrunner #bc i was really enjoying the show and it looked like a lot of other native american people were involved #ah well at least i can still read the books the show is based off of #trickster cbc #trickster cw #pie says stuff #pie watches trickster

Let’s talk Trickster

Already knew I was gonna like it, but I didn’t know just how much I would. It’s got my two favorite things in it: characters of color that are super AND are allowed to have un-pretty problems.

Jared’s... uh... something. I get the impression he’s a shapeshifter? Apparently it’s based on a novel series, but I’ll keep tuning in as long as they keep making it. Seems like CBC’s already greenlit a season 2 even ahead of season 1 premiering.
