honestly i dont care for physical description cos i know what they look like based from the comic itself and i dont need any reminder of this (it gets too redundant). as long as the writer can make me interested and keep that interest, im good
I can understand that. A relentless storm of adjectives is kind of grating. But in this case, the physical descriptions would likely be used sparingly, just enough to get the idea across. For example, if someone told me the only thing they truly wanted for Christmas was a curly-haired Rose in a fic, I would drop a line about brushing a ringlet out of her face, or someone plucking a short, curly hair off their shirt and knowing it was hers. Subtle, but still aimed to please, ya dig?

oh man oh man!! what a good question!! Um when it comes to Homestuck it depends on the character. Like I loooove me some dark-skinned Strilondes (alpha & beta) and Captors. Whenever somebody mentions that I just melt a little.

But then there are other characters that are just more versatile! I love curvy voluptuous Fef just as much as I like really bony/gaunt Fef. All in all I love me some diversity, whether it’s body type or racial/ethnic, the more atypical the better
Ahhh, I love dark-skinned Strilondes! I love...all....Strilondes...basically....
I'll be honest, race is a big stumbling block for me when I'm writing. I get VERY self-conscious if I write someone as non-white because I am so goddamn white and I'm worried I'll do something wrong. I get a little nervous writing anything with gender intentity or sexuality issues too, but for some reason, race just gets me super duper nervous! D:
That said, I'd love to see more diversity in the description of characters in fic, and getting a positive push from sweethearts like you takes a little of that nervous edge off. Maybe I can stop being a baby and write something worth while!!!
