ALL TRI-CORE PROCESSORS ARE ACTUALLY QUAD CORES WITH ONE CORE LOCKED.
It means you can unlock the other core that can make your processor QUAD CORE. Why is the other core locked? It's because of two reasons. One is that the other core fails to passed the standards of the manufacturer (which is the one core locked) and second is that tri-core processors are marketable or they have high demand on the market. :)
