DID YOU KNOW ♥ : Origin of the word “SPAM” Way back in the 1930’s- During World War II, Hormel Foods Company invented pre cooked “Spiced” and “Ham” in can and became so popular ever since. Sometime in the 1960’s, a crazy yet funny British sketch comedy tv show is created named “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” which is set in a resto that served everything with spam; from spam burgers, spam pie, spam mashed potatoes, spam omelets, spam cake etc. In the skit, whenever a group of vikings arrived, they would sing “"Spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, beautiful spam, wonderful spam!”. Subsequently- one night in the 1980’s, a player in a primitive game called “Multi User Dungeons” type the words SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM flooding the message board to a sickening degree. Then the SPAM(electronic) term later on refers to a practice of sending unwanted or junk emails or messages.
