That hurt way more than he was anticipating, rubbing his now redden forehead underneath his bangs. Nonetheless he seemed relatively unharmed for the most part; then again he was quite hardy for his small size.
“ ... Okej ? Oh jes, jes I am fine sir ...sorry, are jou ? “
He calmly assured as he got up dusting him off before grabbing the fallen book as if he was going to give the rightful person which was the stranger before him. The truth is he planned that, all he wanted to do was get to the book; even though he certainly did not know how to read it nor did he see this slight headache making it’s way. Nonetheless, curiosity can lead a little kid to strange, spontaneous things. Now holding the book in his small, mitten covered hands as if his in the first place.
“ I visk to ‘ave t’is, so I’ll be taking it. T’ank jou, sir. “ It could almost be taken as an challenge of a toddler if his tone wasn’t so serious and polite or his face less dead-set.

“I’m fine,” Makoto replied, picking himself up from here he had fallen. It was established hours ago that should he not be able to keep up with the man’s pace, he’d be on his own to fid his way out of this thick expanse of forest. However, they’d been walking most of the day, and already it was gettnig dark leading to the blond’s main problem at the moment. He wasn’t tired so much as having issues seeing the ground, leaving him to stumble over what felt like practically every root and pebble the forest had to offer. Meanwhile his guide was seemingly having no trouble–it was wonderous to Makoto that he actually hadn’t been left behind already considering his pace had slowed as the light continued to wane.
“How much farther is it till we’re out of here?” He asked, trying to go faster than what felt like a crawling pace without pracitcally face planting again.
It was harsh to say this but patience was not on of his virtues, especially when he had been cast into a situation he didn't at all want to be in. “Then try staying on your feet.” Growing up in a trash heap like meteor city, gave him the advantage in such a situation. Although he had a somewhat limited ability to see the ground beneath his feet, stepping over and avoiding tripping hazards was like a second nature to him as he made his way along. To stop right here would be an inconvenience, given the mass amount of twigs and stumps that where scattered across the ground around them. It would make for an uncomfortable resting place without a doubt, hence why he was still yet to stop despite the looming darkness. It had grown increasingly obvious to him that they where not going to be free of this forest tonight at least, even if they where to continue onwards into the night. This he had come to the conclusion of quite some time ago unfortunately for the both of them.
“I doubt we even half way. If you’re going to complain about that though, then you should have stayed at wreckage.”

Laying in the hospital bed, groggy from sleep and pain medication, Conan hardly noticed when someone walked into his room. The door to his room sliding open went unnoticed, eyes gazing listlessly out the nearest window. When he heard the snuffing of slippers against the linoleum floor and the gentle clearing of someone’s throat, the boy finally turned his head to see a vaguely familiar face.
“You’re the one that found me and called the ambulance,” he started slowly, “I remember hearing you on the phone before I passed out. Thank you...”

“Suna!! I need pipe cleaners, glue, and the petals of a hundred roses!!”

She demanded, trying to pass by the male who just to happen to be in her way or more like trying to block her.

“Good afternoon, Sunakawa-kun!” Her greeting was spoken warmly despite the chilly winter air as soon as she caught sight of the boy, hand waving so he could see where exactly the lilted voice had originated from (after all, she knew how small she was compared to the hustle and bustle of the crowd, browsing the post-Christmas sales across the high street she stood in). It was one of the few times the two met without their mutual friend between them but their reason for doing so still concerned Takeo, not that he knew it.
“Do you have any ideas on what you’re going to buy for Takeo-kun’s birthday?” she asked once Sunakawa had approached her and was within a hearing range where she didn’t have to yell. “I thought it must be easy for you, having known him for so many years. I’m having trouble thinking of something personal like he gave me on mine...” While she wasn’t wearing the brooch at the moment, it still had its place at home in a velvet-lined box, waiting for the next time she chose to wear it over her heart.
