The day had started out bad enough, waking up from one of his more violent deaths with a horrible nightmare on top of it. That alone had Kenny wanting to stay in bed and just avoid everyone, but soon enough his father had come barging into his room, screaming about one thing or another, demanding to know why he wasn’t up and out the door to go to school. As if he cared, as if he wasn’t just high as a kite and drunk off his ass. And it wasn’t even 8am yet. What really set him off though, was that his first period science class decided that today was dissection day.
Kenny had booked it out of the school already on the verge of tears and by the time he’d found what he thought was a secluded enough spot he was full on bawling. His skin was crawling underneath his parka. The glint of the scalpel still fresh in his mind and making his tears fall faster. He didn’t hear his name being called the first time, his heartbeat combined with his sobbing far too loud in his ears. It’s the second call of his name, and that all too familiar accent that finally catches his attention. The blonde turns, eyes red and cheeks stained with tears, looking up at Gregory with fear and confusion. What was he doing out here right now?
