I was coming home on the train a few days ago.

Out the corner of my eye I saw this guy start rocking back and forth and making strange noises. Been riding the train all my life so odd behavior from fellow passengers doesn't hold my attention.

But the rocking got more pronounced and he started drooling. I realized he was having a seizure.

I got up and started looking for the call button on the train so I could contact the train operator and ask for medical assistance.

Then I saw that there was a transportation employee on the train and she was calling in the incident on her walkie.

As we pulled into the next train and sat there, I was expecting an ambulance or paramedics to come assist the passenger.

The train station we were pulling into is a ten minute walk from an emergency room so I didn't expect it to be long before some help came.

Instead of paramedics though, a police officer got on the train, poked the man with his baton and asked him if he needed an ambulance.

At this point the passenger was slumped over in his seat and non responsive. Why are you asking a man that just had a violent seizure and is clearly passed out if he needs an ambulance. Do they have no training for situations like this or just common sense?

Meanwhile the rest of us are saying yes he clearly needs help why haven't you already called 911?

Then they cleared everybody off the train and made an announcement about a medical emergency. Meanwhile this man has been seized and passed out for 15 minutes.

So sad and scary to see this happen to someone.

Wednesday, March 18th

an EXTREMELY long day had a sub for psych but was stuck doing a worksheet & watching video handed in scholarship stuff, hopefully they don’t send it back to me again lol reminisced about the thespian conference in choir which was so fun wow I really love my roadies tragedy struck 5th period, a fellow student had a seizure in babe’s physics class & she was really shaken up. comforted her but wanted to do more of course found out I got a 59/60 on my geology test!! gym was great, had our old sub Ms. Bell & she told Nina & I how much she missed our class, she's a great gal after school I napped from 4-8, but woke up feeling worse than when I fell asleep I just wanna be healthy!!!
