Hey, everyone, and thank you for all your patience.
We've received a few asks concerning the website, and the mention that May was the month we wanted to hopefully make another attempt at re-opening it.
I, as project lead, want to apologize for the lack of updates on the matter, and for not having been tackling the website issues since the last update.
The truth is, that the team is down to two. The both of us are terrible burned out, either struggling with real life issues, or packed work schedules. Neither currently got the proper time nor energy to set up a new website, let alone then maintain it, both time-wise or financially. On top of that, interests are waning in the project and Trigun as a whole.
It was my hope, that a few months wait for May to come was going to give me the energy or motivation to handle it when the time came. But clearly it did not, and I have not informed everyone in proper time either.
What does this mean for the future?
We've decided on the team to not bring the website back up for the foreseeable future. We're terribly sorry for making everyone wait for it, only to not deliver. The financial burden for domains and subscriptions for hosting is not something either of us wishes to hold any longer, for running the project has been an expensive affair across many years.
However, if anyone else in the fandom of Trigun, or fans of the project, wishes to host our project anywhere, or upload it anywhere, they are more than welcome. We are still proud of the work we've done, and we still want the project to be as accessible as possible.
I personally will still continue keeping an eye on our site here, and try my best to answer questions when I can. Beyond that, I hope to also use this platform and following that the project currently have to draw attention to other wonderful passion projects in the fandom through reblogs.
Of course, this does not mean it is the end for the project, but no new content is likely to be posted within the foreseeable future. Should we find a sudden spark of energy for working on the project, we hope to utilize it for some new content for everyone. But as things stand now, our presence will mostly be that of answering questions and occasionally reblogging a post from another Trigun project.
Once again, we're sorry for the lack of new content, and the lack of updates from our end. The whole team still remains thankful for all the support, patience, and understanding everyone has shown us, and are, and have always been, thankful and humbled by everyone's love for our project.
Thank you for your patience and hopefully your understanding!
maybe the reason I never found true love was because I was never an orphan raised as an assassin in a mercenary cult that worshiped terrifying eldritch horrors in human from whence I was hired to bodyguard one such monster who turned out to be both terrifying and so terrifyingly naive and vulnerable that he immediately trusted me, an assassin hired by his evil twin, with his life, and then he had the nerve to tell me I was the weak one for giving up too easily, which drove me crazy until I realized—fuck—I actually admired him and his foolish trust in humanity, and I was rooting for him to beat his evil twin, but that didn't work out so I risked everything to rescue his dumb ass before running off to clean up my own mess and trusting him to finally save the world—just for that fucker to ditch saving the world to have my back when it mattered most, and help me save the only thing I was fighting for all along, because he was my friend, and as long as his damn immortal ass was alive, I'd never fight alone again.
maybe the reason I never found true love is because I was never a lonely eldritch horror who met a dangerous killer and watched him become a wary ally even though he scoffed at my principles and I was horrified by his disregard for life, especially his own, since I sensed from the moment we met that I could trust him with my life, and of course through the many battles we fought side-by-side I was proven right, although he did punch me a surprising amount and kill too many people, I found myself respecting his ability to kill when I never could, and he became my closest friend—I adored him, to the point that eventually I was convinced to surrender the principles I thought I had spent my long life fighting for, all because I knew a bad man with a good heart who taught me the brutal truth of what it means to be human is that sometimes you have to kill to protect the ones you love, and in the end none of the cosmic powers I had could save the world, but words from a friend I'd always carry with me did—even death couldn't stop him from helping me save the only thing I was fighting for all along.
TRIGUN ROUGH DRAWING ARCHIVE - RELEASING THIS FRIDAY!
We are happy to announce the upcoming release of our latest scan; the newly released Trigun Rough Drawing Archive by Yasuhiro Nightow, sold at the Trigun 2025 Art Exhibition.
The book contains 138 pages of both previously released and unreleased rough sketches by Nightow himself, coming in both initial rough sketch form and pre-coloring form. Promotional art, manga page sketches, font art, musing art, and merch references.
As per usual, we have not added any watermarks to our pages, as we'd rather not put any claim to content belonging to Nightow. Because of this we ask you to always leave credit when posting our scans, and to not repost the link to the files outside the release post we'll be posting this Friday.
Always support Yasuhiro Nightow's work in any way you can whenever if it is financially reasonable or feasible for you. Buying items secondhand unfortunately doesn't send money his way, so remember that only through official sources can you truly support him. Otherwise, word of mouth, sharing images of collections and simply talking about his works will do a world of wonders, as well.
We are switching owner of our website's domain, which unfortunately is not a simple process. It will cause the website to disappear during the process and then having to be rebuilt from the ground up again, including reuploading all our files.
That means our website, and therefore the ability to read it online, will be unavailable until this rebuilding process is over.
The domain ownership switch will begin in January at a currently unspecified date. We will inform everyone when the switch is close.
We will let everyone know when the process is over and the website is ready. Please be aware that it potentially be full of mistakes once again, like page issues, wrongly named pages, broken links, etc. We welcome any feedback and help from our readers if you spot anything out of order.
You will still be able to find our files on our Google Drive for download during this time.
TRIGUN VOLUME 01 ENGLISH - 1.0 English Translation.
The 1.0 translation of Yasuhiro Nightow's Trigun and Trigun Maximum was our initial run and goal of our project, so it reflects both an earlier mindset and skil level. The plan is to eventually make our 2.0 translation, with both better scans and an improved translation.
Work done on this version includes: Removing compression, removing text from the found scans, removing errors made in original scans, translating from Japanese into English, and English typesetting.
Please support the original creator however you can!
