Day 5 ~ Trip 6
Posting this a little later than usual ^-^ Didn’t have a chance to earlier since we left so early.
While I was home alone I decided to start up my workout routine again. I do a series of conditioning exercises for abs, legs and arms and I used to do them every day. Might as well get back on the workout train while I am here alone.
Ger got home early and knocked on the front door. He totally laughed at me as I creeped it open just barely and peeked around it to see who was there. He asked me why I didn’t just look through the peep hole and I had to admit to him that I’m actually too short... >.>
Later we vlogged me putting in my circle lenses for the first time. GUYS WHY IS IT SO HARD? I was actually useless at it. I eventually got them in but there was an eyelash under one so I just took them both out. Sheesshhh... I guess practice makes perfect? Ger told me they looked weird but I enjoyed them hahaha.
We walked to Chipotle for dinner since I’ve been craving it for a while. I looooove their Sofrita option. So friggen good. We always get the tortilla underneath instead of on the side (little tip if you don’t do that already) and Ger gets salad dressing and a side of sour cream and mixes it together which is apparently like a ‘secret sauce’. I’ve tried it before I went vegan and it was pretty good, I must admit.
When the lady was bagging our chips and guac one of the guys on the line put the guac into the bag and knocked the whole thing over LOL. The guac fell to the floor (and luckily nothing else did) and splashed onto the lady. They both kind of just looked down at the mess and the annoyance creeped onto her face. He quickly got a new guac and handed it to her. This time she took the chips and guac and put them in a separate bag from the burrito bowls. The guy was like “Oh hey, see, that’s a way better idea.” and she gave him the look of DEATH.
Gerald and I laughed so hard when we left.
While I died and went to heaven (because of the Chipotle) we watched two movies: Special Correspondents and The Adams Family movie. (We watch a lot of movies together, can you tell?)
At some point Ger sat in bed and combed my hair and scratched my back and I call that serious boyfriend goals right there.
Hope your Friday was awesome & I hope tonight is even better ^-^ ! <3
Day 3 - Trip 6
Yesterday was a lot of the same ^-^
I stayed home although I wanted to go out and walk around the apartment complex. It was pouring rain at some point and then it was generally miserable outside so I figured staying in wasn’t a bad idea. I was mostly scared of getting caught in the rain haha. PLUS there were a lot of people talking loudly in the hallway and I was pretty spooked.
Ger wrote a math exam yesterday evening at about 6:15 and he was super duper nervous. But he passed!! ^-^ Proud of the little nervous bugger. I never doubted he would.
I made spaghetti and portobello mushroom pasta with some broccoli which actually turned out really, really good. I hadn’t made it before so I was worried it would be bland.
Quick recap of how to make it:
1 pack of spaghetti or angel hair pasta
4-6 portobello mushrooms, cut into pieces
salt & pepper to your taste
Enough oil to saute the mushrooms and drizzle over the spaghetti.
-2-3 cloves of garlic
Rinse&dice mushrooms, heat up a pan with oil and saute them with a little salt and pepper until done. Along side this, bring a pot of water to a boil and cook your spaghetti. Once both are done, add the spaghetti into the pan with the mushrooms and mix it all up. Make sure to get all the yummy caramelization off the bottom of the pan. Drizzle the olive oil over top (not too much!) and season with salt, pepper (and cayenne if you want some spiciness like Ger did). Fini ^-^
Later we watched Daredevil for the first time. It looks like it’s actually going to be a super good show so we might continue watching it while I am here in Florida.
Since Ger is finally done exams we’ll get to do a little more stuff since he’ll be home at a reasonable time and not be so tired.
Hope you had a wonderful Wednesday. Cheers ^-^
Day 1 - Trip 6
I am soooo so so happy to be back in sunny Florida, even though I am melting. Literally. If you saw Ger and I’s texts earlier that I shared on here, I’m white fondue.
I left Toronto at 12:30pm and took a 2 hour flight to New York. There was the cutest little baby sitting beside me that wanted to play with my phone hahaha. My flight was delayed by almost an hour so I was panicking the entire way to New York that I may miss my connecting flight. BUT I didn’t. So that’s pretty sick. I’ve never missed my flight before so I would have had no idea what to do.
The second leg of the flight was 3 hours and boy oh boy did those 3 hours drag on. My neck was hurting from sleeping in a weird position in the flight before and for the life of me I couldn’t beat this one boss in Birth By Sleep (yes I totally still play with my PSP sometimes...). It was frustrating checking my phone and seeing on 2 minutes had gone by. I just wanted to see my Florida man.
The flight landed right on time and I bolted out to baggage claim. My suitcase was the 3rd one to come out which was really lucky haha. I wheeled outside and was met by an uncomfortable amount of heat and humidity. Florida, why are you so hot?
Ger and his mum were waiting for me in their car and I got all kinds of butterflies as he opened his door to hug and greet me. That never changes.
We went to Publix to get some groceries so I don’t starve to death this week and then went home to watch Game of Thrones. GUYYYSS. SO HAPPY about what’s going on in that show right now. My bae is back. ALSO, HODOR !!!
Anyways, the weeks will be filled with Ger’s full-time job and my 2 summer school courses, blogging and video editing. Hopefully we’ll get to do some exciting stuff during the weekend. Especially now that I’m 21! ^-^
I'm coming from the land of triple 6
I feel like I'm spinning around in a carousel. I close my eyes and I feel like I'm being spun around and around, but I'm sitting completely still.
