Look, I don’t have anything against you or any of those girls. The thing is many dark skinned black girls have even more pronounced lips that any of the girls he posted. And saying that one of the girls was African means nothing because African women comes in many different shades, sizes and facial features. None of the women Broderick posted looked like Uzo Aduba or Adepero Oduye. He showed appreciation for Gabrielle Union and a bunch of models, which at the end of the day are usually not the type of dark skinned black girls people people say don’t like. You, and all the other women he posted, have thin privilege and usually are considered conventionally attractive by most people, so to me what Broderick tweeted wasn’t that worthy of praise. That was my point.
