“Child of a new light” is the work of Day Before Us, French and now bi-national music project whose objective has been continuously motivated by the need to create semiclassical-processed soundscapes with a special spiritual intensity. This album offers a stylistic evolution for a more visible dialectic between narratives, lyrical chants, instrumental ambient textures which seek a world of revelation linked to contemplative rituals.
Towards the hazy future [...or the past?] - wandering along the nebulous fields. Two autumnal scenes taken during a foggy late afternoon walk in Myślenice, Poland.
These photographs are dedicated to Day Before Us - a musical project focused around semiclassical cinematic ambiences and sonic soundscapes in an eerie-melancholic mood [known for several efforts signed on Rage in Eden, Cathedral Transmissions, Kadaath Records among others]. The scenes were shot during a research for an autumnal representation of the melancholy in landscapes that could illustrate the forthcoming split album:
"Elegy on the Death of the Poet" [TripleMoonRecords / TMR001]
The issue will feature unreleased tracks from the French cinematic-semiclassical dark ambient project Day Before Us with the addition of sound lyricism by American multi-faceted self taught artist Kimberly Pierson. Shadowy and endlessly melancholic processed piano sequences will be sustained and punctuated by harmonious droning resonances, acoustic strings, micro-sounds and some singing / evocatively recitative parts.
