Movie tells me #Simbathelionking
"Look beyond what you see"
Little Simba is an energetic and fearless young lion. Until one day, Scar's greed snatched all of little Simba's beautiful life. He trapped little simba so little simba almost died. but Simba's father Mufasa saves Simba and had to die for save him. Little Simba just realized that apparently not all of his family were kind and everything he had could be lost. Simba had to lose his father because of his own mistake. Father who is his idol and role model to become the next king of the jungle. The father who taught that while others look for what he can take, a true king gives back. Father who gives a lesson to Simba that he only brave when he have to be, Being brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble. Father who told Simba that whenever Simba feels alone, just looks at the stars and remember that those kings will always be there to guide Simba, and so the father will.
“Life’s not Fair, Is it?”
But it turns out that scar's greed changed simba's life. His father had to die in front of his own eyes for saving him. and that made little simba lose someone he loved so much. it makes simba feel lost and feel guilty for the tragedy. Little Simba ran away and decided to forget all these incidents and leave his other loved ones. Little Simba almost gave up on his life, until he met his two best friends. Adhering to the philosophy of life "Hakuna Matata" which means "Don't worry for the rest of your days", Simba has managed to accept his past sorrows and get up again to seize what he deserves.
"To change the past is a big order, but you can change the future"
When I was little I thought that the story was very cliche, Simba who took the throne of the king of the forest from his greedy uncle. But when I watched it again as an adult, I realized that there was something else that was also interesting, namely the story of how Simba received past trauma due to the death of Mufasa, his father.
"Simba you can't escape your destiny"
“I know what I have to do, but going back means I will have to face my past. I’ve been running from it for so long”
It is a very great story where we can learn that sadness and despair are natural responses when we lose something very important. loss is something we cannot predict when it will come. loss and sorrow is not in our power. but we can still choose how we react to the loss, whether we will give up on the situation, drag on in sadness and blame fate OR we will rise again, try to accept and understand that loss is also a learning process in our lives. We will realize that life is not only filled with happiness, fun, joy. sometimes we need to learn to accept through loss, learn to be happy through sadness, learn to be sincere from adversity. because if we never feel sadness, how will we know what happiness feels like. just like how can we feel warmth if we don't know what cold feels like.
"Oh yes, The past can hurt. But from the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it"
Dissolving in sadness will not make us stronger and solve problems. realizing that we have valuable things today, being grateful for them, and learning to let go of loss are things we can do to get back up. as Rafiki said:
"Again, look inside yourself. You are more what you have become"
That's all and see you in the next #themovietelme script :)
