Looking back on your previous fandoms, which would you say has been most influential in terms of developing your writing?

That’s a good question!

I... I would say in term of sheer volume of content, Les Misérables probably shaped my basic identity as a writer - that was the first fandom in which I really experimented and got into it, wrote big stuff, got ambitious.

But honestly? All of the stuff I wrote in those days was garbage, and is now pretty much all deleted lmao - which is another sign of development!

I've been racking my brains for something that can fit your hyperfixation criteria, and while I can't right now, I do want for future reference to recommend to you Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings series of books (the Assassin Trilogy, the Liveship Traders trilogy, the Tawny Man trilogy, the Rain Wild Chronicles and the Fitz and the Fool trilogy). Lots of duty motivation, complicated loyal relationship between a male and non-binary mains, extensive and interesting world-building. Good luck!

Heck yeah, I was obsessed with dinosaurs when I was little! My favourites were parasaurolophus, pachycephalosaurus, and deinonychus (Jurassic Park did you dirty by calling you velociraptor baby, I'm so sorry). Which of these do you like best and why?

Ooh nice!

It's probably Deinonychus, just because as a tiny kid myself I had a precious, beloved, bright orange inch-long toy deinonychus which baby me dubbed "Dinnerboy" for some reason (I think maybe I couldn't pronounce the name right?). At age 9 I lost him and genuinely continued thinking about him on a fairly regular basis right up until this year, when I was given this beauty in his memory, literally 15 years later.
