I have thought before about what Tristan's living space would look like if he had control over it. Since Tristan is a child (12) and he's, well, him, his interior decor taste would be quite outlandish and whimsical in general. Even if he was living in the modern world, I imagine his space would have a playful, fantastical, feminine whimsigoth vibe. I get a lot of inspo for this modern iteration from early 2000s shabby-chic type interiors.
I do also plan for him to have a sort of mini-lair set up for him by the demon in the story. This will probably in some unconventional or abandoned location, but fitted up with all sorts of comforts, a lounging couch/bed thing, an excessive amount of toys, clothes, jewelry, trinkets, and any other frivolous thing Tristan wants on a whim, and perhaps even enchanted to be of a fairy tale design that didn't actually exist in Regency England. The whole room would have a particularly Tristan look to it, almost as if it's something he's imagined or drawn that the demon brought into 3 dimensions. I imagine it would also be somewhat messy and cluttered with all Tristan's treasures.
