Is Tristo from Cheliax, since he's an armiger? What order is he in? What's his alignment? How does he take his coffee?
Yea! So his backstory is a little vague right now, but I'm thinking he's maybe the second son in a very minor noble family (think barons or demibarons at most, people who have money but aren't t h a t important). He grew up in Egorian probably? Or some other large Chelish city? Being an aasimar (and being the second son) means that he was probably pushed aside and kind of uhhh just sent off by his parents at some point to be forgotten. Maybe that's why he becomes an armiger? Either it's like, his parents force him into it or he does it to try to earn their love or something, but after a while he gets jaded and he's like "oh screw them actually, love is weakness and so is pity and I'm above it all" idk
He's in the Order of the Gate, because that feels appropriately spooky, I like that it's the edgy goth order in a group that's already edgy. He worships the Godclaw technically but I feel like he leans into Asmodean stuff more because of the whole aasimar thing.
He's probably kind of on the cusp between lawful neutral and lawful evil honestly? Like he can be good! Like genuinely good! But only for certain people in certain situations and when his personal moral code calls for it. Most of the time he's a very like. Idk how to describe it, dominant person? He's very much like "this is what is right, it does not matter if it's good" and sometimes what he thinks is right is a literal war crime.
And he takes his coffee with no cream but a little sugar. uwu
This is what it feels like when my mutuals and I are liking each others posts and reblogs back and forth
Saw some gorgeous art that reminded me of the Wild and I love her so much. Anything can be the Princess’s chains that hold her, and you can cut her free in so many ways. Tied down by her own roots with her heart LITERALLY exposed to you. Yet still you can choose the more painful way that ends in you both leaving together. A way that feels more free and relieving to the pain they both experienced.
Nothing no one probably hasn’t already said, but just love this version of the Princess a lot.
Wore my first dress today, as I’m making a cosplay for my oc for Renfaire. It made me feel really pretty!
“I love you.” They said in unison. - The final line from chapter 19 of my fanfic Tentacles and Glasses. Self-shipping is what I see as an expression of love for yourself, to see yourself worthy of your favorite characters in media loving you.
I wanted to include all the commissions I’ve paid for of Zoe and I since I began this journey of yumeship!
It’s hard not to feel cringe or sad about it sometimes, but in the end it does make me feel less lonely and more warm. The positive reception the story got on fanfic sites only further aided in making me feel validated. Because yeah its a self-ship story about Zoe and I, but that’s not all it is. The characters of the world of Monster Prom are queer, varied, and I connect with so many of them. I couldn’t help but interweave little stories about all of them. It’s a story about that community more than anything, every character we interact with in the story aids the journey in some way, even if their interactions are away from Zoe and I (Aaravi’s journey) or very brief (the Color Crew becoming my friends.)
I loved writing that fanfic, it got me through when I started working full time, and it was nice to share something I was writing with the world. I’ve finished two creative novel length stories that I worry are awful and shouldn’t see the light of day. But through the encouragement of my friends I began writing fanfic and it has been as fulfilling as it has been fun. I want to write more outside of mine and Zoe’s story within the Monster Prom universe too, and likely will now that it’s complete.
I’ve played so many video games, watched so many shows, listened to many podcasts, and read many stories about love. I’m thankful for each one for letting me experience those feelings. I’m thankful for my friends who have supported me by listening to me rambling about my writings and playing my adventures when I run D&D.
To not overload this post, I’ll make another about media I’ve consumed about love, and how we express love in our TTRPG games. But to end, I’ll share this post from the creators of Monster Prom that helped me along.
I have about 40 hours in Metaphor ReFantazio now. It makes me wish that we could get more games of the Persona formula that aren’t Persona games.
I fell in love with the formula when my friend introduced me to Persona 4 Golden, and I wish developers other than Atlus would try their hands at it. I think Expedition 33 is like that a little and plan on trying it after Metaphor.
My favorite part of Metaphor is when journeying to different locales it takes days to get there, so you can spend time with your companions on the ship during the journey. As simple as playing chess with Hulkenberg to caring for your weapons with Strohl. And don’t get me started on the cooking, every scene when you cook with a companion is so precious to me.
I do also wish we got some fire emblem ranks where you could have like Strohl and Hulkenburg hanging out etc.
The companions are so adorable. Will be scouting AO3 after o finish this game for more.
