( sorry to jump in like this but i couldn’t help but click on the read more and honestly, i feel the exact same way about it but i’ve been too afraid to dare tell anyone about it in fear of being called a stuck up bitch or anything like that ;; )

i'm p sure i lost a follower over it tbqh but, oh well. i personally don't think it's a stuck up thing to say so you're good c:

like, tbh it's an effort thing? but it's not even...that hard of an effort. there's plenty of ways to find icons, there's plenty of ways to find themes, there's easy ways to make your colors not be blindingly bright, there's gifs and gif hunts abound... like, yes, content is the most important thing, but i feel like if someone takes the time to fish out a non-stock theme or even make the simplest of backgrounds, then they're more likely to give more of a shit than someone who looks like they just haphazardly threw everything together.

the bottom line here is, effort shows and pays off.
