Through the cracking flashes of lightning and booming thunder, the weather ghost could see another. They were oddly close to his storm, so he had figured it wold be best to take a look. "Come to admire my *HHHHH* work up close?" Vortex asked curiously, but sounded demanding.
"Well, I was running low on cold drinks, so I needed to go out to a store. All of the other ones were busy because of this heat." He said. He grabbed a plastic 64oz cup and filled it with ice, then his favorite drink, dropping in a straw. He saw her eyes locking on to a candy/bag of chips display, as he went and grabbed a bag of sour cream and cheddar flavored chips, as well as a candy bar.
"Makes sense. Though, I think you'd have to be crazy to be outside today if you had any other choice." The girl watched him fill the cup, then blinked as he grabbed the chips and candy. She vaguely wondered if they were for her, but doubted it. Still, if he'd noticed her eyeing them, it'd be kind of mean to get them in front of her. Knock that off. she scolded internally. Even with the air conditioning inside the building, the heat was making her cranky.
He noticed her, waving back. "Didn't expect to see you here, Danielle. Guess the heatwave got you as well?" He walked up to the counter, leaving $5.29 for gas, and another $3.00 for a large fountain drink.
"Uh huh." The girl nodded, brushing her hair away from her face yet again. "I figured I could hang out here for a while, rather than melting out there. But, what're you doing out here? I figured you'd be back in Amity Park proper."
Summer time hit hard. It was boiling everyone in town. "Man, its frying out here." James said, wearing sunglasses, trying utterly hard to cool down. "Maybe I'll stop inside here and get a fountain drink and fill up my tank." He pulled up his car to one of the gas pumps, closing the door, walking into the store to pay for gas and a beverage.
Dani grinned, recognizing James. She waved to him as he entered the store, still standing in the candy bar aisle. "Hiya!"

James is really sweet. I'm not sure why he's so nice to me... I guess he's Danny's friend, and so just kind of became mine by default? But it was really cool of him to lend me the motorcycle stuff without telling my cousin, and to help me out during that rainstorm a while back. He's a good friend. Wish more people were like him.
