Ladyface Trois Filles Tripel

Ladyface Ale Companie, a swank brew pub in Agora Hills, California, sits just off the 101 freeway, a little out of the way, but a diamond in the desert. In just about a year they have not only built their reputation, but also quite the list of ales.  Their recent ranking by RateBeer.com as number 20 in the top 50 Brew Pubs in the world is a testament to their fine craftsmanship and dedication.  It's definitely a location I'd recommend if you happen to be in the valley.  My first time I tried their First Anniversary Ale, it was excellent, this time I was going to try something else.

This was my second trip to Ladyface and I decided to start with the Tripel, this shouldn't be a surprise by now.  This poured a deep gold body with minimal head.  The scent was bright, slightly grassy, with a spicy sweetness that barely stings the nose.  The taste was smooth but a touch bland. It was balanced and worked, but didn't wow me enough, just wanted a little more bang for my buck out of it.
