He could have left it there. It was a monster, it could’ve most certainly defended itself and grew up on it’s own, or last until a blood moon would revive it’s mother. Bringing it with him would just cause him more trouble along the way, especially with the Divine Beasts. However.. there’s enough guilt in his gut for slaying it’s mother as it is. This is the only way he knows to make it right.
