I'm not completely against the trope, but... I'm definitely cautious about people who have never been pregnant or had kids writing it. Not because it can't be done, but I think I'd be skeptical of whether they'd do it right. I do love the idea of a hurt/comfort aspect to it, though.

I've read some that I liked, and I definitely won't write one. They're lovely, but I keep thinking about how it's not time period accurate? Which is frustrating. Fanfiction doesn't have to be accurate to be good, but this is one I can't get past. So I won't write it because I don't trust myself to.

Right so 20 on the tropes ask list is ‘curtain fic’ which I assumed was Main Character Death (”it’s curtains for you!!”) and had to have @aibidil tell me that it was domestic fluff.
Which… can you imagine if this poor Anon had been asking for Fluff and I hit back with Stop All The Clocks?
Would I write domestic fluff? Mate, it’s pretty much all I write. The most fluffy of which is probably The Things We Did And Didn’t Do (Draco making breakfast and thinking about how nice Harry looks).
Although I’ve been told that my fluff is at the spikier end of the genre.
