Inspired by any number of motivations -- perhaps even Gilles and Donohue’s long-ago ill-fated pairing -- the ISU has seemed particularly keen on pitting Madison Hubbell & Zach Donohue and Piper Gilles & Paul Poirier against one another in match-ups: six Grand Prix head-to-heads, including four at the French Grand Prix.
