“The most beautiful bookshop in Brussels” อยู่ดีๆก็นึกถึงร้านหนังสือที่สวยติดอันดับโลกที่เคยไปในกรุง Brussel ที่มีชื่อว่า Tropismes ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ Galeries St.Hubert ที่สร้างขึ้นในปี ค.ศ. 1847 แต่เดิมห้องนี้เคยเป็นห้องบอลรูมสำหรับจัดงานฉลอง จนในปี ค.ศ. 1960 ร้านหนังสือนามว่า Tropismes จึงเกิดขึ้น แต่ก่อนส่วนใหญ่หนังสือจะเป็นภาษาฝรั่งเศส ที่มีทั้งวรรณกรรม ปรัชญา ศิลปะ ตลอดจนหนังสือสำหรับเยาวชน จนปัจจุบันเริ่มมีหนังสือภาษาอังกฤษ และหนังสือนานาชาติวางขายบ้างแล้ว จำได้ว่าก่อนหน้านั้นเดินหาหนังสือ Fornasetti จนได้ที่ร้านหนังสืออีกร้านก่อนจะเดินมาเจอ Tropismes ซึ่งก็มีเหมือนกัน เลยเดินเล่นอยู่ในนี้นานเลย พนักงานในร้านเป็นมิตรมากๆ และลูกค้าส่วนใหญ่ก็เป็นวัยรุ่นและวัยทำงานที่ยังคงให้ความสำคัญกับหนังสือ ในขณะที่หลายๆประเทศ หนังสือยังคงมีบทบาทสำคัญในการใช้ชีวิต แต่บางประเทศรวมถึงบ้านเรา กลับเห็นคุณค่าของหนังสือน้อยลงไปอย่างน่าใจหาย ก็ได้แต่ให้กำลังใจคนทำงานในสายอาชีพนี้ว่าของที่คุณค่าที่สุดและเป็นแหล่งรวมความรู้ที่ดีที่สุด จะกลับมาโลดแล่นบนโลกนี้อีกครั้ง #Tropismes #Popdot #Popdotdaily #Popdottravel (at Tropismes Librairie)
