Don't allow time to pass without action. If you know you need to say it, say it. If you know you need to do it, do it. The greatest myth we tell ourselves is that we "have time." Make your mind up, make a plan, take action. I think one of the best lessons I learned this year was the art of being wrong. Not just acknowledging that I'm wrong about something, but having a bit of humility when addressing it. Allowing someone to have their say without me interrupting to make a counter point before I've heard what someone else is saying. Having respect for the outcomes even if they aren't favorable to me. Admitting that I'm wrong, telling them why and how I'm wrong, and most of all sitting back and letting fate decide how they feel without me trying to influence the outcome. They will forgive you or they won't. The outcome isn't about me, and the sooner that's learned the better. Also, and most importantly not allowing years to go by for fear of losing face while admitting I was wrong. Holding a grudge over a principle or a stance that I'm willing to move from. That's a cancer on the soul really. It keeps me sour over some nonsense, and it allows great relationships to fester, and wither away when all I needed to do was reach out. Let's not take the past into the future. It's okay to be wrong, but when will you act? Don't hold yourself hostage to your ego, make the first step in sincerity. 🕉 #MerryChristmas #Christmas #feliz #feliznavidad #Sorry #Apologize #ManUp #Dayton #London #losangeles #newyork #mumbai #madrid #tokyo #Trotwood #MontgomeryCounty #Belfast #Chicago #beijing #lagos #Paris #tehran #saopaulo #stockholm #moscow #HongKong #istanbul (at Dayton, Ohio) https://www.instagram.com/p/CmmnB_WvigE/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
I'm safe after the tornado hit my city. Would've never thought it would hit close. Luckily my house only had minor damage. My mother's house suffered allot. I'm just thankful that everyone is safe.

"I will call her Ivy"
"You are wondering why I am all on my own, no?" for she knew the good woman would wonder. "My husband passed 9 months ago in a collapse," Phoebe explained, blue eyes glassy. She did not like to explain, but did not want the woman to draw her own conclusions. "My father did not approve. So you see, I am quite alone."
"Oh, but that's terrible...and so young" said Midwife Ellis. Her own mind turned to faded memories of a husband long dead. "In the mines, you say?"
A contraction. A wince. A Sharp intake of breath. "Coal. He— Davey—" her voice broke. A hot tear finally grew too heavy to remain in her eye. Phoebe swallowed, but somehow it made it harder to speak.
"—said he didn't like being so far underground. But...we needed the money. More than he knew, as it turns out"
"Oh my dear..."
A neighbor went for the midwife, and I am alone. A motherless...mother.
