1559 Update:

Éowyn ends this year in a very different situation from how she began it. In the first months of the year, Huy was found dead with a small baby boy beside him. If that wasn't strange enough, servants swore that the baby occasionally glowed with skin tinted green. The infant was dubbed Boromir and, along with his siblings, was taken to their Uncle Angel's residence.

Although Angel would never verbalize it, his brother's death was a relief. The youngest of the brothers, Angel had outlived them both and claimed their father's title while defending against Huy's ploys. Now his position was secure. But though he would never be caught saying such a thing, it was not unknown to those around him. And because of this, eyes were cast towards him as first Faramir, then Boromir, and finally Finduilas followed their father into the afterlife, leaving only Galadriel left. All for explainable reasons of course, Faramir came down with influenza, Boromir simply succumbed to ordinary infant ailments, and Finduilas caught the mumps off of one of the servants girls. But whether Angel was to be believed that the children of his brother perished while his nephew's only daughter survived was highly questioned.

As for Éowyn, Angel's motives were far clearer. He petitioned to be placed as her guardian as his father and brother had been before him. With that granted he sought out the girls closest blood relatives, her father's cousin's son and his wife, Elwin and Hayley Miyazaki. The two were generously compensated for taking the girl in, and would be further paid by her labor. The two lacked any children, so having extra hands to help run their bar was much appreciated. And, in spite of themselves, they began to love her. Looking back, their childless home was so empty, haunted by the ghost of their stillborn daughter. Now Éowyn's laughter and questions slowly filled the place. It wasn't an easy adjustment for any of them, but it was far from the exile Angel had intended.

Perrette, Robin and Patronilla's third child, didn't survive her third birthday.

I don't usually plead in this save, but I had to for this sweetie... no success, unfortunately.

1558 Update:

As the children continue to grow, so does Huy. His sudden weight gain is unexplained and, although he had a terrible nightmare over the summer, he never thinks to connect the two. Werewolves may exist but surely that awful, terrifying experience was due to him being in his cups... right?

1557 Update:

Despite still struggling with Fang's death, life continues on for Éowyn and the Volkov children. Éowyn and Galadriel turn six while little Finduilas starts toddling around the castle. Faramir doesn't seem to mind being surrounded by girls, having never known anything else. As long as he's included, he's content to play whatever games the girls come up with.
