I’m a decent songwriter, actually.
There’s nothing quite like getting a message out of the blue from someone you haven’t spoken to in 9 years, asking if it’s true you wrote a song about them.
Still feel like someone’s gonna take this off me! Losing my mind being recognised for my music and songwriting at Dunedin Fringe of all places - Dunedin was such a hotbed of musical creativity in the early 80s and a HUGE part of making the NZ music scene what it is and it’s just so so wild that my silly dick joke songs are now award winning!

A series of unhinged facial expressions thanks to the absolute chaos that was my first ever crack at musical improv.
Back in 2023, I did my first ever comedy tour, opening for my friend Snap across the North Island of NZ. It was an absolutely bonkers experience and kind of changed the trajectory of my life.
Being asked to do this tour is what made me start seeing myself as An Actual Comedian. And honestly, it’s been pretty full on ever since!
At the end of the tour, we filmed the show as a special, as well as filming a very silly little intermission song in Snap’s backyard. It’s been a year and a half but Welcome to the World of Tomorrow has finally been released! It’s free to watch on YouTube and I reckon it’s pretty good.
Pretty wild to look back at my early 2023 comedy, and even wilder when I remember the songs were written in 2017. What a long, strange trip it’s been.
