"But will they be worth reading?" Her words hung heavy in the air, leaving room for nothing except the light crackling of the wood ablaze in the fireplace. Grey eyes didn't bother to look up from their book while Allikay sat purched in the wide arm chair with a blanket and book in her lap. She turned the page, not sure if she truly wanted a response.

"Oh?" The princess asked while raising a delicate eyebrow. Gently clasping her hands together Allikays grey eyes shimmered like silver coins in the soft candle light. "Have you finally decided to swear fealty to me?"

If so much wasn’t expected of her tonight her royal highness Princess Allikay would have loved the swirls of colors and glittering fabrics of her guest dancing in her ballroom to the lively music. But instead, she stood observing with a neutral expression and, an air of harsh intimidation and unapproachabilty that could be felt across the giant room.
Her pale body was wrapped in a navy velvet gown with silver accent cascading down the dress and her raven hair was topped with a stunning silver crown to match. Along with her regal stature she appeared more as a goddess of the night sky than a princess looking for a suitor.
Yes that was the whole point of this evening. The princess had been of age to marry for quite some time, and while the king and queen had humored her putting it off for things she deemed more socially important push was beginning to come to shove. Her grace period was coming to an end and if she could not find a compatible match in social and personal standing by the end of the festival in three days time they would pick her match for her. And yet… she had simply watched so far tonight, the few who had approached her so far this evening had been turned away with no success of gaining the princesses favor and it seemed it was about to happen again.
Grey eyes cut like daggers across to the man who had spoken. With a deep breath and a slightly up turned nose the princess replied. “I believe the proper way to greet a princess is by bowing first and addressing her by the proper title before asking her you’re question.” Despite her words seeming harsh the wore spoken in a light matter of fact tone with the smallest hint of amusement that was reaffirmed with a raise of a single black eyebrow. “Besides, what could possibly make you think you’ve earned the right to a dance?”
“Try today...”
Trouble just shook her head. “You know there is so much more to life than tomorrow. If you’re always living for tomorrow, the day you die you’re going to go ‘oh shit, I don’t get a tomorrow.”
She pulled herself up off her front porch step after turning her radio to the local jazz station. “How about today, we just live for a slow song? A nice meal? Good weather?” She asked as held out her hand and helped them up.
“Now you see me.” (Open starter to all!)
Well this was truly a sight to see...
Trouble was standing the the middle of her room In the nude, but she didn’t look... normal.
No, she had let all of the magic shields that made her look human down and this is what she was left with. She was a monster. A beautiful one, but a monster none the less....
From the bottom up, her feet were completely black, in deep contrast with her typical milky white skin. As you moved up her calf, the coloration became more of a dark blue like the night sky. There were twinkling constellations in them as if they were the real stars in the sky.
About her knee caps is where her skin became pale again but not for long. Up her left thigh was a beautiful red and gold dragon breathing fire up her hip, and up her right thigh was a bushel of white roses woven together with briers. In the middle of them was a human heart with a knife through it, some of the blood from it discolored the lower roses.
There were a few scars along her hips and neatly trimmed pubic hair rested between them. Her stomach was nicely toned, with a paragraph of words in an ancient language moving easily down her left rib cage. Shoulders were dusted in starlight seeming to be sprinkled with white and silver galaxies.
Her hands with sharp black claws were colored the exact same way her feet were, the blue stopping just at her elbows. And then her eyes... they were vibrant purple, electric almost, while teal and purple nebulas danced around them like a mask, dotted with silver specks.
Behind her were brilliant white feathered wings which’s tips dragged the floor and almost seemed to glow. But the most startling thing was probably the crown of shining starlight which rested atop her head, contrasting with her dark hair, much like one would call a halo.
“It’s impolite to stare...” pink lips pulled into a smirk. “And to walk in with out knocking.”

a kiss stolen away in a corner, ignoring crowds
The festival was in full swing tonight. Underneath the full moon people danced to music and laughed with friends underneath glittering lanterns and stars as the smell of freshly cooked treats filled the air. And yet...
Some where in dim lights of a corridor away from the bustling energy of their friends and the crowed, Renji had gently pulled Trouble away for a small privet moment. His lips captured hers, his body shield hers from the outside world for just a moment while they leaned into each other before the ravenette pulled away.
"Renji... what if they see. We haven't told anyone yet." But even as the words fell from her lips there was no true anxiety to them. It was almost as if they had stepped into their own little time bubble, completely cut for from the rest of the world, truly a moment just to their selves despite being surrounded by hundreds of people.
