Narcissism is in the zeitgeist more than ever (as if...it’s ok?), to dangerous degrees I mean to say. The obsession with fame and (shameless) self-promotion via technology has reached an obscene level. People living day-to- day, with (this disease) delusions of grandeur. So self-absorbed they no longer see worth in looking outside themselves, in order to genuinely love others without abusing others (along the way).
The others (non-narcissists) who recognize the prevalence of this phenomenon are now having to become “Cynics.”
Cynicism is an attitude or state of mind characterized by a general distrust of others' motives.
God help us humans. We need to wake-up and be grateful of this one (short) life we have in our bodies on this planet.
