First I want to express my very deepest condolences to all the victims and there loved ones. I can't fathom what any of them are going through and won't try to. However I must address the real issue behind this tragedy. The news reported that Salvador Ramos purchased his first rifle immediately upon turning 18 WITHOUT a valid picture ID. He then returned days later to buy more rifles and over 30 magazines along with the ammo to load them all. With the gross overabundance of mass shootings happening lately you would think an experienced gun dealer would have taken this purchase from a brand new legalized gun buyer to be a little odd or out of the ordinary. The problem doesn't lie in the firearms themselves. We need extensive background checks all the way into social media, medical records, limitations in what quantities can be purchased at a time and automatic red flags in place when purchasing irregularities present themselves. GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE !!! Guns are the tools PEOPLE use to kill PEOPLE. I'm a strong second amendment supporter BUT we need stronger, longer more thorough background checks. No more automatic gun handovers at the point of purchase. Criminal, medical, social media and reference checks should all be mandated before ANY guns long or short can be purchased. Abolishing long rifles WILL NOT solve our current mass shooting problem. These cowards need there tangibility taken away point blank period. The news also reported that Salvador Ramos practiced killing smalls animals and pets which is a clear sign of trouble. As tragic as it is that he shot his grandma she also had a responsibility to report this as it's a clear display of violent behavior. The warning signs were all there people. STOP BLAMING FIREARMS AS THE PROBLEM AND START BLAMING THE PEOPLE WHO COULD HAVE CLEARLY PRENVENTED THIS TRAGEDY. #Troubsfact (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CeZZ6bUPeTi/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
