Cosplay update after many months.

Made myself a leg mannequin so I wouldn’t have to wear them (the pants) while working. Used old leggings and stuffed em.

Then found the PERFECT bag in a laundry basket that I’ve had the whole time apparently . Cut the details out in foam and promptly painted them.

And we’re here now. Tomorrow I make the weird rectangle thing on his other leg.

Troy Calypso - Borderlands 3 ⠀ 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙄𝙣 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙐𝙥𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨⠀ ⠀ Tonight I decided to face this hard challenge and make Troy’s Wig in EVA Foam with no hesitations in a full “Comin’through” — Inosuke Mood! I have experience in styling wigs and I learnt from the best ( @misch.axel) but tonight I faced something new as it’s my first EVA Foam WIG and I have to admit I’m pretty satisfied for the progress so far! ❤️⠀ ⠀ The whole process today took around 8 hours of intense work and I streamed everything on my Twitch Channel where you can find everything in case you wanted to replay! I love Borderlands fandom for it’s style. And it’s important for me to make tones of details. For example all this black cel shaided lines are real. They aren’t just drawn. If you touch them you’ll notice that this are real scratches but with lines over them. Spent yesterday and a bit of today making the Digistruct gun holster on Troy’s other leg. Thanks to @fizzy-vault-gator for telling me what it actually is

I first went into Blender and removed it from Troy’s model to take some photos for reference.

Then cut out the front, back, and side pieces out of EVA foam.

Then added another layer of thinner foam for details, painted the whole thing white, and cut the center out for eventual LED lights. I left the bottom open for the battery compartment.

And then my least favorite part. I painted the black lines onto it and the tops of some thumbtacks I cut off for the little screw things. Once the LED are in (and I actually Buy Them) it’ll be done. May tackle the boots once more today too.
