#TBT: Happy “Throwback Thursday”!! The 12/9/22 edition of “The Eastwick Press” is out NOW on newsstands!! Sunday, December 4,2022 was the 40th Annual Troy Victorian Stroll & I got to cover this fun number for work. This milestone event featured plenty of cool things to do & view; free hot cocoa & beautiful views of the Collar City from Loft 433, hearing musical numbers from Troy Samba & Sax-O-Claus, viewing beautifully lit Christmas trees, & hanging out with strollers, stilt men, and good friends!! Kudos to the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce & the sponsors and businesses for putting on a successful, entertaining stroll!! #TransformationTuesday: It’s surreal to see how things have changed in a year as I continue to share these “throwback” memories with you. On this date last year (12/8/2019) I was attending the “37th Annual Troy Victorian Stroll” with friends, listening to live music, standing in wooden barrels with Victorian Strollers, and enjoying the holiday festivities. The kickoff season to the “38th Annual Troy Victorian Stroll” I went to this past Sunday (12/6/2020) with friends was alright but it wasn’t the same. Not many patrons were out and about where we were at the River Street Market & Loft 433, taking part in the holiday festivities. We had to wear our face masks due to the pandemic, we did enjoy free hot chocolate from Mazzone’s Hospitality, and I got to hear Sax-O-Claus & Josh the Elf perform again with my friend, Jen Jenny!! Although the holiday spirit felt in Troy was present, it still wasn’t the same. It was sad to see how deep of an impact this virus has on all businesses and events this holiday season and in particular, “The Troy Victorian Stroll” that brings so many people together to celebrate and enjoy the holiday season.
