XBox E3 Conference thoughts
In terms of Microsoft, this was great. In terms of general conferences, it was okay. Too much talking (opinion) at the beginning. I’m not big into Forza, but seeing a car was cool. The zombie game trailer was too long for something that literally showed us nothing we’ve never seen before.
Microsoft/Xbox is getting really good at showcasing a lot of cool looking games, and they did a good job of that here. Watching on my laptop with poor internet connection, the whole “True 4K” stuff meant very little. I’ll rewatch later at super high def and see what I was missing, but I imagine that if you don’t have a nice TV then you’ll just have an above average experience.
I really hope that the exclusives are timed, but I also learned that I can buy all of those games on my laptop too. Price for X One X is really high (100 more than PS4 Pro), but hopefully for those that can afford it the X is gonna be really pretty. In other news, I’m super happy that the Xbox One S is cheap enough for everyone.
Overall, 7/10. Great for Microsoft standards, pretty good for general E3 conference. Lot’s of great announcements, but a lot of tech/specs talk just becomes weird babble to me. EVERYTHING IS 4K 1080P 12GIGABYTE.
