E3 2017 Cinematic Trailer
They looking suspicious. Cuphead starting animation from E3 2017 trailer.
So there’s a hidden message towards the end of the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer.
Transcription below (It’s long). It’s nearly 1am here in the UK so I apologise for any typos.
“hmm, do i have any nice screencaps of griffin i never got around to posting?
...yeah, fuck it, close enough.”
I know I’m late to the game, but I thought it was about time that I post about my experiential work for Capcom E3 2017.
This was the first assignment I got for E3 2017: Capcom’s new game Monster Hunter World. It was quickly decided that the booth would feature one of the games dramatic (and scary) creatures. The draft was made and it became clear it would be another year of squinting at schematics and triple checking the pixels.
Not only did I need to stitch together dozens of plants and trees to create a forest background, But I also needed to edit and place the dragon’s hind leg and wings onto the print. Then things got interesting because the print needed to line up seamlessly with the 3D giant.
Before the event our team skyped with the dragons warehouse cave and watched it come to life. My Art Director’s eyes were gleaming, reminded me of Sarumon visiting the pits of Isengard watching his glorious Orcs being bred out of the earth and muck.
With the deadline fast approaching, I was feeling very confident in my art files. I may be remembering incorrectly, but I think I may have actually gotten this done a whole week before the deadline. Anyway, it looked awesome, and I wish I had been around to see it in person.
...I wonder what they did with that dragon?
