I loved that newly-dating banter at the start so much as well. It made my skin crawl in parts thought too, in a I-want-to-die-this-is-so-like-cringe-moments-I've-had-too-dating way though. There was a moment in Part 3 where they're talking and MC says she goes back to NY soon and there's this awkward as hell pause when Jason says maybe they could meet up there. It's PALPABLE, that vulnerability of admitting to wanting to see the person again but feeling awkward saying it like you'll admit something they're not on board with yet. And you're just embarrassed at the start, aren't you? Like bumping into your own emotions is HORRIFYING much less trying not to bump into the other person's as well. Gah it makes me want to never date again haha

UGH yes Kate bumping into someone’s emotions so beautifully said!!!!! I tried sooo hard to make all of those moments realistic and palpable through the screen so I’m so glad people feel them 💜
